Essential ingredients: to cook rice

  • Basmati rice – 1 cup (soaked 30 minutes)
  • Water – 2 cups
  • a little salt

    • Raw mango page – 1 cup
    • Boiled rice – 2 cups
    • Ghee – 2 tablespoons
    • Cumin – 1 teaspoon
    • Curry Leaf-8-10
    • Green chili – 2 finely chopped
    • Ginger – 1 teaspoon (grated)
    • Cashew-8-10 (roasted in ghee)
    • Raisins – 1 teaspoon
    • Salt – as per taste
    • Black Pepper Powder – 1/4 teaspoon
    • Green coriander – for decoration
    • Mint leaves – 1 tbsp
    Method of making step by step as follows

  • 1. First wash the rice thoroughly and soak it for 30 minutes. Then add salt and water and cook it and cool it so that the grains remain separate.
  • 2. Heat ghee in a pan. Add cumin seeds and let it roast lightly.
  • 3. Now add curry leaves, green chillies and ginger to it. Fry for a few seconds.
  • 4. Now add cashews and raisins to it and fry till it becomes a little golden.
  • 5. After this add boiled rice and mix well.
  • 6. Now add mango emerald to it and mix slowly so that the rice is not broken.
  • 7. Add salt and pepper powder as per taste.
  • 8. Slow the gas and cover it for 2-3 minutes and cook so that all the flavor is mixed.
  • 9. Finally garnish by adding green coriander and mint leaves.
  • Way to serve
    You can serve it with cold raita or mint curd. If there is a papad or cucumber salad together, then this dish looks even more tasty.
